Foam Rolling The Thoracic Spine - Video

A softer foam roller made of condensed foam is best for this exercise, NOT a foam roller that is hollow in the middle resembling a pipe as this is too firm.

Bend and straighten your knees so that the foam roller can run along your spine in between your shoulder blades. DON'T try to run the foam roller too high up towards your neck or too low down towards your low back.

Try and keep your neck in a neutral position throughout this exercise. In other words, DON'T bend your neck back so that you are looking up to the ceiling, and DON’T force your head forwards so that your chin is being lowered towards your chest.
